Teapots and Tempers

----__I have always been fascinated by the beauty of the teapot, and I have collected them for quite some time. I have a few antique ones that are very dear to me and many other lovely teapots that are special for various reasons.

____The search for the unusual teapot is intriguing to me due to the wide variety of style and shape of teapots. There is something comforting to me about a beautiful teapot that contains a warm brew of a special blend of tea. I love tea parties and often look for a special tearoom to relax in. For my birthday a couple of years ago my sister treated me to a wonderful tea at Barker Mansion, and it is a lovely memory for me. Friendships are often enhanced through pleasant conversation while enjoying a cup of tea, and my special friends and I have done this often.

_-----I also very much enjoy being the hostess and pouring tea into a beautiful teacup for a friend, and I’d like to compare it to what we are pouring from our lives to others. Is the brew coming from you distasteful or bitter from having steeped too long? Is there a residue deep down that shows up when all has been poured out? Sometimes tempers may flare, and we may pour out a strong and unpleasant discourse instead of the warm, sweet healing words of love and encouragement. Perhaps it is time to make a fresh supply. When our pouring out is not fresh and delightful, we need to go to the source and renew!

____Even the Psalmist David had to say, “Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.” I love the scripture that states, “A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver.” May I add my own interpretation? A word of encouragement from a lovely lady is like a warm cup of tea poured from a charming china teapot. What are you pouring out?
