Arise and Shine

_-----"Arise, shine for thy light is come and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.” (Isaiah 60:1) The Living Bible says it like this: “Arise, my people, Let your light shine for all to see. The glory of the Lord is streaming from you. Darkness as black as night shall cover the earth, but the glory of the Lord will shine from you and…mighty kings will come to see the glory of the Lord upon you!”

When you have just cleaned your chandelier, you sit back in satisfaction and look at the beautiful colors that are reflecting through the sparkling prisms that are hanging from it. See the blues, greens, yellows that are created because of the light that is shining through them. You see a rainbow at the end of a storm and again, it is reflecting light through the pure, clean mist and creates a gorgeous array of colors!

We, as women of God, need to be like prisms or rainbows—reflecting the beautiful colors of God as He shines through us. Many in the world do not know the Lord, but they see something different, something special in us—and that is the glory of the Lord. And that glory shines so much brighter when the vessel is pure and clean. Realize that when you have God in your life, you do have the true light so “Women of God…Arise, Shine and let the glory of the Lord be seen in you!”
